We’re delighted to feature Arnice Asquin, a Forest Impact Recovery (FIR) Program Advisor hosted by Community Futures Sun Country, with funding from ETSI-BC.
Having grown up in an entrepreneurial family, Arnice understands what small businesses need to be successful. With a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Simon Fraser University, complemented by a minor in Computer Science, and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, she brings a strong background in business and information technology to her role.
Arnice has 15 years of experience in public accounting practice and business consulting. She has held managerial roles in the IT Services Department and she has owned and operated businesses in the hospitality, technology, business consulting, and vocational services industries.
Arnice has supported Community Futures Sun Country for several years as a self-employment program instructor and as an Advisor with the Rural Business & Community Recovery Program.
In her capacity as a FIR Advisor, Arnice’s priority is to support businesses in the District of Hope and Fraser Valley Regional District Areas A and B primarily.
From needs analysis, HR support, and bookkeeping training to taxation compliance, financial analysis, and lending application support, Arnice offers a comprehensive range of resources and services related to forest impact recovery. Within this role, she also provides disaster recovery support, grant assistance, as well as a sounding board for businesses to brainstorm ideas, tackle challenges, and explore solutions.
As Arnice says, the most fulfilling aspect of her work lies in witnessing businesses grow and develop, knowing that her contributions are making a tangible difference.
Our thanks to Arnice and all the FIR Advisors for your tireless efforts on behalf of your communities. You are truly making a difference!
