ETSI-BC Spring 2023 Funding Intake Opens April 1. And that’s no joke!
February 28, 2023 – ETSI-BC is set to start accepting applications for its Spring Funding Intake on April 1, 2023. We’re excited to support new initiatives around the region to add to the 165 projects we’ve funded since April 2021.

Community & Business Advisors to Assist Communities Impacted by Forest Sector Changes
February 9, 2023 – ETSI-BC is pleased to launch a new Forest Impact Recovery (FIR) Program, with funding from the Province of BC’s Rural Business and Community Recovery Initiative (RBCRI). Through this partnership, ETSI-BC will provide up to $1.35 million in grant funding to support rural communities and their business support organizations as they take on the challenging task of supporting economic development in communities affected by on-going changes in the forest sector.
New Funding for 26 Economic Development Projects
December 13, 2022 – Communities in the Southern Interior of BC have something to celebrate this season. ETSI-BC, the Economic Trust of the Southern Interior, has just announced the successful applicants of its Fall Funding Intake, and awarded over $543,800 in funding to support 26 projects that will help build and diversify the region’s economy. Project partners include local governments, First Nations and non-profit organizations in BC’s Southern Interior.
Research Partnership with Mitacs Renewed
November 25, 2022 – The Economic Trust of Southern Interior (ETSI-BC) is delighted to announce the continuation of its research funding partnership with Mitacs for FY2023. A total of $53,750 in funding is now available for businesses, non-profits, First Nations and municipalities in the ETSI-BC service area.
Fall 2022 Funding Intake Closes with 33 Applications Received
November 7, 2022 – The ETSI-BC team is pleased to share that in the ETSI-BC Fall 2022 Funding Intake that closed on November 1, 2022, we received 33 applications from organizations located in all 9 regional districts in our service area.
ETSI-BC to Accept Fall 2022 Funding Intake Applications Starting October 1
September 1, 2022 – Following its record-breaking first year as the Economic Trust of the Southern Interior, during which over $3.1 million in funding was approved for 86 economic development projects throughout the Southern Interior of BC, ETSI-BC is set to start accepting applications for its Fall 2022 Funding Intake on October 1, 2022.

ETSI-BC Announces Successful Applicants from its Spring Funding Intake
June 29, 2022 – The Economic Trust of the Southern Interior of BC (ETSI-BC) is pleased to announce another successful Funding Intake. Of the 24 applications submitted, a total of $386,000 was awarded to 22 projects that will help build economic development capacity, innovate and advance key sectors in the region. Successful proponents include diverse groups including First Nations, municipalities, business improvement and tourism associations, business support and industry groups in the Southern Interior of BC.
