ETSI-BC Helps Build Economic Development Capacity in BC`s Southern Interior
May 20, 2021 – Nine recipients ranging from First Nations and municipalities to tourism associations and community-led societies throughout the Southern Interior of BC. have just been awarded a portion of $305,000 in funding for economic development projects from ETSI-BC – the Economic Trust of the Southern Interior. Funding ranged from $13K to the maximum of $50K. This tranche of funding was the first to be allocated as per ETSI-BC`s new Strategic Plan, which was launched on April 1, 2021.
ETSI-BC Funds 36 Positions to Assist Southern Interior Businesses and Communities with Economic Recovery
May 4, 2021 – The Economic Trust of the Southern Interior (ETSI-BC), has provided funding to 25 different business support organizations, local governments, and First Nations communities in BC`s Southern Interior through the Rural Business and Community Recovery (RBCR) Program. ETSI-BC, formerly known as the Southern Interior Development Initiative Trust (SIDIT) is helping deliver the RBCR Program throughout its region on behalf of the Province of BC. A total of $1.65 million has been provided to 25 communities and non-profit business support organizations.
Recovery Advisors Soon To Be Deployed To Support Southern Interior Communities and Businesses
March 31, 2021 – Communities and businesses in the Southern Interior will soon be receiving new support for economic recovery. ETSI-BC, the newly re-named Economic Trust of the Southern Interior (formerly SIDIT), announced today that it has selected the successful funding recipients of the Rural Business and Community Recovery (RBCR) Program.
